What Is Prometheus — And Why It Works

Prometheus 1.82 is Vertex's updated gold (XAUUSD) algorithm. It retains the core model principles and introduces a stricter risk architecture: Total Risk + Stopper, while keeping risk‑in‑position.

For XAUUSD (M30/H1): market entry + one limit order (1‑limit grid), VWAP included, SL required, TP auto via Risk/Reward. Risk control: risk‑in‑position + Total Risk + Stopper, plus trading profiles (hedge presets): C4, V, S, X, F and a withdrawal mode.

Prometheus works because it mirrors how professional traders and institutional desks approach XAUUSD: avoid noise, target high-probability zones, minimise exposure, and trust the math.

Prometheus 1.82 runs one core strategy, and behavior differences are achieved through parameter preset profiles: V, X, S, F, C4. Profiles are not separate products; they are strategy presets inside Prometheus 1.82. Each profile adjusts model filters and behavior while staying within the same risk architecture: Risk‑in‑position, Total Risk, Stopper, Withdrawal mode.

Detailed Profile Descriptions

V — VWAP (Scalp / Intraday)

Core: profile focused on intraday trading around VWAP, where the key idea is evaluating "fair" price of the day and reactions to deviations from it.

Horizon: intraday / scalp (short movements)

Best for: days with clear intraday dynamics and predictable reactions to mean

X — EMA/MA + Stochastic (Intraday)

Core: profile combines trend filter (EMA/MA) and oscillator (Stochastic) so entries occur in direction of "larger" movement with momentum confirmation.

Horizon: intraday, sometimes "short holds"

Best for: moderately trending sessions when market "moves" and there are clear pullbacks

S — Smart Money Concept (SMC)

Core: profile based on SMC — focus on market structure, liquidity and "implied intent": where price collects liquidity and where momentum/imbalance forms.

Horizon: intraday → short swing (depending on mode)

Best for: when market respects structure and provides clear "liquidity collections" before movement

F — Fibonacci (Intraday / Swing)

Core: profile uses Fibonacci levels (retracement/extension) as basis for continuation/correction scenarios, combining levels with current momentum and movement context.

Horizon: intraday / short swing

Best for: impulsive phases where price "respects" retracement and extension levels

C4 — EMA/MA (Swing)

Core: swing profile based on EMA/MA, calmer and filtered: focus on direction and structural continuations, less "noise".

Horizon: swing

Best for: smoother trending phases and consistent structure

Multi-Strategy Mode

Prometheus 1.82 is one unified algorithm that can operate in a multi-strategy mode: it can run several strategies/profiles simultaneously (V, X, S, F, C4) within the same system. Signals are generated independently, while overall exposure is governed by a unified risk architecture: Risk-in-position + Total Risk + Stopper (and Withdrawal mode) to keep total risk within predefined limits.

  1. Download .mq5 file from your dashboard
  2. Open MT5 data folder: File → Open Data Folder
  3. Navigate to MQL5 → Experts and copy the file there
  4. Restart MT5 and find the algorithm in Navigator

Configuration

After installation, open algorithm settings and specify:

  • Login and password for activation
  • Risk management parameters
  • Selection of strategies to use
